BIO International Convention, the world's largest biotechnology event, set records in its 2018 edition with 18,828 participants from 67 countries, more than 46,916 meetings in the Partnering-one-on-one system, more than 1,800 exhibitors and more than 1,000 speakers during the 180 sessions. Because of this great result, the issue entered the Guinness World Record as the largest event of worldwide business partnering.
Since 2015, Brazilian Pharma & Health has been responsible for representing Brazil at the fair, organizing the Brazilian Pavilion which in the last edition was attended by more than 50 companies and 150 members, becoming one of the largest delegations present. With a privileged location, and 232m² well-arranged, the Brazilian pavilion attracted visitors from all over the world. In addition, more than 400 units of the 2nd edition of BIObr magazine were distributed, whose content presents the novelties and business opportunities within Brazil among all the stakeholders involved in this process.
BIO also had actions that preceded the fair, such as the III Summit Brazil, organized by Abiquifi, which discussed attracting foreign direct investments, and received more than 150 participants, with 20% of foreign visitors.
In 2019, Brazilian Pharma & Health expects to further increase the success of the Brazilian delegation, strengthening relations between companies and helping solidify important partnerships.
