As part of the agenda of the Animal Health LatAm 2019 event, Abiquifi held a meeting aimed at sharing information about the innovation ecosystem in Brazil, specifically the entry of innovative products in the market.
Present were the authorities Luna Lisboa Alves, José Ricardo Lobo and Danilo Tadashi Tagami Kamimura, representatives of MAPA, and Gustavo Mendes, representative of ANVISA. As well as the companies Elanco, Farmacore Biotechnology Ltd, TNS Nanotechnology and Dechra Pharmaceuticals PLC in the discussion. Also participating were experts such as Byron Silva of Vet Affairs and Angélica Vargas, representing the University of Viçosa.
One of Abiquifi's reasons for organizing such a meeting is the result of its experience in supporting the opening of new markets abroad for pharmaceutical chain companies located in Brazil due to the Brazilian Pharma & Health Sector Project, the result of Abiquifi's partnership with Apex-Brasil. The project has commercial promotion actions, sanitary image and investment attraction for the pharmaceutical chain since 2007. Since most recently, in 2015, started the activities with animal health companies.
The result went beyond expectation and today, the project has 60 exclusive animal health companies participating in the project, 60% of them startups dedicated to innovative products. BPH has been present at VIV Asia, regional fairs in Latin America and since 2015 has been organizing the Brazilian pavilion at IPPE in the USA. This last fair the Brazilian pavilion had 20 square meters and by 2020 an area of ??476 square meters is expected. A significant growth that demonstrates the eagerness of companies to open markets abroad.
Gradually this area has been consolidating with high business potential and the approach with MAPA at this stage is essential for the success of this international venture.
