ABIHPEC (Brazilian Association of the Personal Hygiene, Perfumery and Cosmetics Industry), in partnership with Abiquifi (Brazilian Association of the Pharmaceutical Ingredients Industry), participated in the 30th edition of CPhl Worldwide, between November 5 and 7, in Frankfurt in Germany, with the mission of enabling business generation for the supply chain that operates in the supply of raw materials and finished product manufacturing companies from both sectors.
Considered the largest event in the pharmaceutical industry chain, CPhl Worldwide received around 50,000 visitors and registered the largest Brazilian participation since 2007, with the presence of 42 companies - 12 of them newcomers, as well as the attendance of representatives of the Federal Government, such as Ministry of Health, ANVISA (National Health Surveillance Agency) and the Institute of Drug Technology (Farmanguinhos).
The Brazilian Pavilion - present at the fair nine years ago through the Brazilian Pharma & Health sector project - an agreement between Abiquifi and Apex Brasil (Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments), this year had the important partnership of Beautycare Brazil, from ABIHPEC.
“This initiative marked the beginning of cooperation between the entities and provides for the joint realization of international actions and market studies with the main objective of building a positive agenda for both segments and acting in synergy to foster Brazilian industries,” said João Carlos. Pharma Connection Discusses Regulatory Milestones in Inputs and PDP
With planned changes to the new regulatory frameworks of Active Pharmaceutical Inputs and partnerships for Productive Development (PDP), Abiquifi was responsible for the 3rd edition of Pharma Connection with over 70 Brazilian businessmen.
The week in Frankfurt also featured a cocktail party for the delegation marked by the signing of two relevant agreements: the term of cooperation between the sectoral entities for the strategic development of both segments and the memorandum of understanding (MOU), between ABIQUIFI and the Portalegre, in Portugal, strengthening Portugal-Brazil cooperation in the field of the commercial and pharmaceutical sector.
The ceremony was attended by ABIHPEC's International Business Manager, Gueisa Silvério, as well as João Cardoso, vice-president of the Portalegre City Council, and Teresa Narciso, head of the Development and Modernization Promotion Division of the Portalegre City Council.
